Export Format

The Export Format page allows you to choose the main format you will be exporting the rosters to, as well as the name of the current settings file, the week to export, and the location of the eventually created files.

The Export Format page

As the Export Format page indicates, there are two main ways you can use to export the rosters :

  1. Comma separated
The least work on your part is to export the rosters in csv (comma-separated) format. csv is good for importing into a spreadsheet or external database.

  2. Custom Template
Using templates gives the ability to completely configure the look of the exported rosters, using a large (60+) set of special "command" instructions that gp_vcon can use to output specific values, like player names, nominal values, and positions.
Choosing a Format

Choosing between these will enable or disable certain functions you can use for exporting the Rosters. Most notably, the Templates page becomes disabled when the Comma separated format is active.

If you are going to use anything other than the default settings (comma-separated, all teams, single output file), then you will probably want to save any changes you make to the settings. This means that the next time you come to export, everything is ready for you just to click on the Export button.

Storing the Export Settings

The Export Settings area lets you save the current settings, load previously saved settings, or reset everything back to default. Choosing the Save button from here will bring up a Save Settings window, asking for a filename with which to store your file as. You will find the filename to be empty if you haven't a previously loaded settings file, otherwise, that filename will be chosen. You may change it if you wish.
By clicking on the Open button (the box with 3 dots), another window will appear, allowing you to select the Export Settings file you wish to load in place of the current settings. If you decide to cancel the load, the current settings will remain active.
If, say, you feel you've made a mess of your current settings, you can simply click on the Use Default button to set everything back to their original values, and then start reconfiguring everything again.

At some point you will want to export a week other than the default League Roundup weeks' rosters. This can be changed via the Week to Export section on the Export Format page.

Changing Weeks

Unlike the default folder settings in Preferences, each Export Settings file can have its own independent default Export Folder.

Storing the Exports

This is a required setting, regardless of the format you choose.
By clicking on the Open button of the Export Folder section, you are presented with a Choose Folder window. Select the folder you wish to use as the place to store your roster files. If you cancel this action, the currently selected folder, if any, will remain active.
